GYUCHEOL CHOI
Welcome
I am a postdoctoral researcher at Texas A&M AgriLife. I hold a B.Sc. in Nano-bioscience & Chemical Engineering with double majors in Biomedical Science and Environmental Analysis & Pollution Control, and a Ph.D. in Environmental Engineering from Ulsan National Institute of Science and Technology (UNIST). My doctoral research focused on anaerobic electrochemical dynamic membrane bioreactors (AnEDMBR) for biofouling control and system efficiency improvement.
I am interested in biotechnology, agriculture, water treatment, contaminant remediation. My research primarily explores strategies for enhancing biofouling control, methane production efficiency, and the valorization of organic waste into high-value products. Additionally, I investigate the role of biochar in environmental systems, particularly its effect on antibiotics, antibiotic resistance genes, and microbial communities in soil.
